PASSHE students rally to support quality schools and training

Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus   Feb 23, 2018

While hundreds of state-system college students rallied at the Capitol Thursday to highlight the importance of Pennsylvania’s public colleges, the House Appropriations Committee on Monday kicked off three weeks of public hearings on Gov. Tom’s Wolf’s proposed 2018-19 budget.

The governor’s proposal places an emphasis on workforce development and the need for the state to ensure Pennsylvanians’ access to the education, skills and training needed for the changing workforce.

The House Democrats’ #Plan4PA agrees with those goals and includes the measures lawmakers should pass to offer people the training and education necessary to enter the workforce for the first time, transition careers or move ahead in their current job.

It’s time to put People First with Good Jobs, Quality Schools and Fair Taxes. Let’s be #Prepared4PA with the House Democrats’ #Plan4PA.
